Flamingo Cancun Resort
The resort features two pools and a 12-foot-diameter children's pool. A courtyard pool surrounds a sundeck island. A 45-by-25-foot pool occupies a terrace above the beach, which runs along the resort's 200-yard sea frontage—part of the 6-mile, powdery white-sand beach fringing Cancun Island's eastern shore. Sand sunning terraces come furnished with thatched-roof palapas offering snoozing shade.
Accommodations
The resort offers 220 air-conditioned guestrooms and suites in a four-story, cream-colored, Mayan pyramid-style building with elevators. Garden-fringed exterior corridors feature orange-and-yellow accents and Mayan-style pole ceilings. High-ceilinged rooms and suites are all white except for colored accents and have tile floors, dark-wood trim, and tropical-color fabrics.
Dining
La Fuente - Air-conditioned, linen-service, sea-view restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, dinner buffets daily. Oil lamps at night. Theme buffets such as Italian, Mexican, French, and Chinese for dinner. Dinner dress code: no T-shirts.
