Cozumel
Cozumel is a small, hospitable island with a very casual atmosphere.
The turquoise waters spill onto the solitary, fine sand beaches, which are the jumping off points to some of the best scuba diving and snorkeling anywhere with underwater visibility of up to 200 feet, 20 miles of incredible reefs and caves, and over 200 varieties of magnificently-colored fish. Deep-sea fishing, sailing, windsurfing, water skiing, and jet skiing are also very popular here.
If you want to stay dry, you can still capture the amazing beauty of the sea life below as you cruise along the clear waters in a glass bottom boat.
You can also take in the remains of Mayan temples right on the island or visit major ruins of other Mayan cities a short distance away in Cancun, which you can reach by high-speed boat or small aircraft.
The colorful town of San Miguel is the center of activity. Its main square is surrounded by many shops and eateries. Nightlife is varied, too, with exciting clubs, lively discos, and quiet, romantic strolls around the quaint city plaza or along the miles of beach.
Cozumel was made for both relaxation and exploration. This scenic playground gives you the best of Mexico with a Caribbean flair.
